Melting

(En español más abajo)

CanadaIf you go way back the history of this blog, you will find my very first post, published in early 2005 (though it belonged to the previous incarnation of LfW). In it, I mentioned that it was –32C or so when I left the house to take the kids to school. I said that it was unbelievably cold.

You have no idea how much I would like to relive that day today!!! Here’s the temperature as of the University of Waterloo’s weather station:

There you go. A temperature of 35.3C, and a humidex of 48.7 (and that’s actually down from 49.8!!!). I came to Canada because it’s supposed to be cold in here. I want my money back.

  1. A famous saying goes, "If you don't like the weather here, just wait a few minutes!"

And today is supposed to be the coolest day of the week...

  2. You were right!!! It's only 45.6C now! Yay... :-)

We have a soccer game tomorrow at 7:00 PM and another on Saturday at 1:00 PM. We played last Sunday at 1:00 PM too. It's just insane.
