Mine is too, thankfully

I apologize in advance for the bad quality of these pictures, but I think it was just great to see this.

I was walking around at night last week, looking for a place to eat, when I found this man going through the garbage to salvage some cardboard, pop cans, whatever.

 

A normal sight here in São Paulo, and something I was always used to in Buenos Aires, I didn’t pay too much attention to the scene until the sign on the side of the cart this man was carrying caught my attention:

 

 

It says “Meu trabalho é honesto, e o seu?”, which translated into English would be: “I have an honest (or decent) job, what about yours?”.

 

Precious. And yes, I do too, as I said in the title.

 

 

Desde ya pido disculpas por la mala calidad de las fotos, pero creo que valen la pena igual.

Estaba caminando por ahí la semana pasada, buscando un lugar para cenar, cuando vi a este hombre hurgando entre la basura para rescatar cajas de cartón, latas de gaseosa, lo que fuere.

 

Como es una vista normal en São Paulo, como así también lo era en Buenos Aires, no presté demasiada atención a la escena hasta que ví el cartelito que tenía pintado al costado del carro que este hombre llevaba:

 

 

Decía “Meu trabalho é honesto, e o seu?”, que en español sería: “Mi trabajo es honesto, y el suyo?”.

 

Fantástico. Y sí, el mío también, por suerte (como dije en el título).
