Manic Monday #22

Question #1 - What sound or noise do you love?
A sound? The almost imperceptible whisper that my kids make when they sleep. Especially if I have them by my side... If I have to pick something louder than that, I would say the sound of a harp, a clarinet, or a charango (a small South American instrument made with the shell of the back of an armadillo, that resembles -vaguely- a lute). Charangos have a magical, very lively sound. Remember Simon and Garfunkel's "If I could" (El condor pasa)?

Question #2 - What sound or noise do you hate?
Not sure. The drill at the dentist, a piece of chalk on the blackboard, and especially those big electrical saws that butchers used when I was a kid (I bet they're still using them)

Question #3 - What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Definitely radio host. It's my dream. I dabbled in the area years, eons ago, but that was pretty much it. I would just die if I had a 30 minute-long, little radio show somewhere. Even if it's from 3:00 to 3:30 AM on a Wednesday, I don't really care!

Question #4 - What profession would you not like to do?
Mmmm... those who are pretty much on 'the other sidewalk' from what I do right now. Like accountant, lawyer or psychologist. I've always mentioned those as professions I would never do; nothing against them, just not my thing.

  2. I worked in theatre and radio for a few years before coming to my senses. :) It was a ton of fun, but hard to make a living doing. As a hobby, on the other hand, it would be great. You should get in touch with these guys:http://www.ckwr.com/

Perhaps some day we could make a radio show joining Pehuajo-Waterloo, Waterloo-Pehuajo.4.- No te metas con los contadores, don't mess with accountants. I'd never be a coroner. O sepulturero...
