Snow day

It finally happened. After almost 12 years of living in Waterloo, my kids had their very first ‘snow day’ today. And on a Friday! It should not surprise anybody, as the Winter Storm “Nemo” is hitting the region very badly.

 

I got my flight for tonight cancelled due to the weather, but I got one for tomorrow morning. I hope I can make it, because I have to coach Santi’s team tomorrow night, as they play in the final round of the Ontario Indoor Cup. Fingers crossed! Oh, and it’s going to be Santi’s 300th consecutive official game. He hasn’t missed one since he started at age 9. Insane.

Finalmente sucedió. Luego de casi 12 años de vivir en Waterloo, mis hijos tuvieron hoy su primer ‘día de nieve’. Y cayó en viernes! No fue sorpresa, porque la tormenta invernal “Nemo” está pegando duro por toda la región.

 

Mi vuelo de esta noche fue cancelado, pero conseguí otro para mañana. Espero llegar, porque mañana por la noche tengo que dirigir al equipo de Santi, que juega la ronda final de la Copa Indoor de Ontario. Con los dedos cruzados! Ah, y es también el partido oficial número 300 de Santi. No se ha perdido ningún partido desde que empezó a la edad de 9. Increíble.
