Remember Lev Yashin? Many call him the best goalie ever. His nickname was 'the black spider' because he always wore black clothes and he seemed to have eight hands! :-)
Santiago was called up to play for the "A" team last night. Even though he's the top scorer of his league, he played in net. He had a stellar performance! Both goals started as goalie kicks he took, and he made a couple of key saves. Waterloo won 2-0, so he earned a shutout!
The coaches were very happy with him, and once again he got lots of compliments from parents and teammates. He even was invited to play a few games for the U-13 team!
So, two goals and a win on Tuesday with his team, and no goals against and a shutout on Wednesday. Not bad, Santi. Not bad.
Recuerdan a Lev Yashin? Muchos lo llaman el mejor arquero de la historia. Lo llamaban 'la araña negra' porque vestía ropas de ese color, y parecía tener ocho manos! :-)
Santiago fue llamado a jugar con el equipo "A" anoche. A pesar de ser el goleador en su liga, jugó en el arco. Tuvo un partido excelente! Ambos goles se iniciaron en saques de arco hechos por él, y también tuvo un par de atajadas que fueron clave. Waterloo ganó 2-0, así que encima terminó con el arco invicto.
El cuerpo técnico estaba muy contento con él, y otra vez recibió felicitaciones de padres y compañeros. Incluso fue invitado a jugar algunos partidos con el equipo U13!
Así que dos goles y una victoria con su equipo el martes, y valla invicta el miércoles. Nada mal, Santi, nada mal.
