I have the day off today. I have been working long hours lately, including -or should I say 'especially on' - weeknights and weekends. Due to my travelling and the projects I do out of the country, I also had to work during some Canadian holidays, like last month's Family Day.
It's due to it that I booked a day off work today, and brought my family to a hotel in Grand Island, NY, just for the day. Gaby doesn't work on Mondays and the kids are all on March break right now, so it worked just great. The hotel is not likely to be named the world's eight wonder, but it has a beautiful view, a nice restaurant, a fitness room and a pool. We don't need anything else!
I wrote this at 10:00 AM. I was on my way to hit the gym with Santi, while Juan and Flor are swimming. Gaby is watching them, doing some Sudokus and thinking about joining them in the water later. Carolina, as you saw, is in El Salvador this week. We might do some shopping later and that’s pretty much it

Fue por eso que me pedí el día hoy, y me traje a la familia a un hotel en Grand Island, NY. Gaby no trabaja los lunes y los chicos están todos en las vacaciones de Marzo, así que todo salió redondito. El hotel no será la octava maravilla del mundo, pero tiene una muy linda vista a uno de los brazos del río Niágara, un restaurante lindo, gimnasio y piscina. No precisamos más!
Escribí esto a las 10:00 AM. Estaba camino al gimnasio con Santi, mientras Juan y Flor nadaban. Gaby los miraba, mientras hacía unos sudokus, pero tal vez se les iba a unir en el agua. Carolina, como vieron, está en El Salvador, esta semana. Nosotros tal vez hagamos algo de shopping a la tarde, pero es todo…
Todos tuvimos un día de vacaciones hoy. A disfrutarlo entonces!
