Where were you? - #03

CanadaHere goes the third edition!!! I am very happy to see how many people played last week. Some of them, like Matthew from One old Green Bus, had a post that I just found today when I went to Technorati! By the way, check his blog, it's one of the most original I've seen...

OK, now on to the game. Today's is "Where were you for Geeks!" Where were you...

1) ...When Microsoft released MS Vista and Office 2007 (30/Jan/2007):
Seriously, what a piece of junk... Worse thing Microsoft has released since... Windows Me. Let's see, January of 2007. I had just celebrated my 40th birthday, with a birthday bash that made me feel that was the best day of my life. I was at a critical point of my career at work, thinking what to do next. Luckily, that worked out great. I would say I was quite happy on January 30, 2007. Oh, and it was my brother Fafa's birthday.

2) ...When Nintendo 64 is released in Europe (01/Mar/1997):
I was still living in Argentina and we were getting ready for Carolina's birth. I remember I started going to a doctor that put me on a diet that made me lose over 30 Kg by the end of that year. People actually thought I was gravely ill.

3) ...When the construction of the Channel Tunnel (aka Euro Tunnel) began (01/Dec/1987):
I was 20! I remember very little. I know I was living in Acassuso (just outside Buenos Aires), and working at a place where they made and sold kitchen furniture, along with my older brother, but I would leave soon. I was still studying to become an Engineer, but that wouldn't last long either...
I had joined a choir called "Coral del 800" the previous year, and we had had a trip to Villaguay, a city 500 km north of Buenos Aires, where we performed a couple of times over the weekend. Right after we came back from that trip, one of my friends -who was a tenor- brought this girl along, who was a little shy but could really sing. I kinda liked her... but I will write about that on the 29th, when I do my "How I met my honey" post! :-)
