I'm in a hotel -again- this week, in a room on the 17th floor. As I was taking the elevator down today, I realized that there was no 13th floor. It goes from 14 to 12 (or 12 to 14, if you're going up) :-)
It still surprises me. You would believe that educated people should not be afraid of a number. But it seems that I'm wrong.
Wikipedia says that 'a specific fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia'. Boy, I rather fight my fears, so I don't have to remember that word.
