23/Oct/2012 – Santi (17)We were having dinner together. After that, we discussed some pending school assignments, sports commitments, etc. The usual stuff. That’s when Santi remembered that he needed some money for the following day. He wasn’t too sure about the amount, though, judging by his words:
- I need $20 for tomorrow!
- OK…
- No, wait! It’s $8. No, actually, I think I need $17…
- …
- Now that I think about it, it’s more like $11
We gave him $14.00, which was the average… It wasn’t enough, of course

Estábamos cenando todos juntos. Luego de comer, charlamos sobre tareas de la escuela pendientes, prácticas y partidos, etc. Lo usual. Allí fue que Santi recordó que necesitaba algo de dinero para el día siguiente. No parecía estar muy seguro de cuánto necesitaba, eso sí, a juzgar por lo que nos dijo:
- Necesito $20 para mañana!
- OK…
- No, pará! Son $8. No, sabés qué, me parece que preciso $17…
- …
- Ahora que lo pienso mejor, son algo así como $11
Le dimos $14.00, que era el promedio… y por supuesto no le alcanzó.

At 17, you'd think he'd have a better memory about money. I can see him forgetting dates and things like that, but money is usually important to a 17yr old. :P
