Really??!!! I mean, it says that the guy wasn't confused or anything. He was just trying to take a shortcut, in fact. Policed pulled him over and gave him a ticket, but who knows why (pedestrians are not allowed to walk on a highway, and people on electric wheelchairs are considered pedestrians too).

The other thing that is not clear yet is whether he got busted for trying to avoid paying the highway fees (407 ETR is a toll highway, probably the only one in Ontario). It somehow reminded me of that guy that crossed the Panama Canal swimming, and had to pay a $0.36 toll, because fees are calculated by weight...
This one is for my wife, who wouldn't believe me when I said wheelchairs can go fast!
