15 Minutes

CanadaMay has been tough for me. Lots of travelling, many things going around the house, good health in general, but really busy. First thing that suffered due to this, my blog. I have neglected this blog a lot, and almost as important, I pretty much stopped visiting other bloggers. Direct consequence of that was an obvious decrease on the visits and commentary I had this month so far, as well as the not-exactly-stellar quality of my posts.

This doesn't mean I don't have anything I would like to write about. I have a 'to-do' list with more than 10 entries, but little time to work on it. I have five posts in draft right here on the right panel of my Windows Live Writer. I still have to finish my series about the Three Stooges, and I was already working on two more (one about Les Luthiers, an outstanding Argentine group that has been entertaining the whole Hispanic world for over 40 years now, another about the FIFA World Cups). I just need to re-arrange my schedule so I can have that 45 min/day spot for my blogging activities.

But that's not all. I see that a number of my fellow blogbuddies have also decreased the frequency of their posts, or just stopped blogging altogether. When I think of how full of live this blog was back in February or March and how it is right now, I wonder if Live from Waterloo's '15 minutes of fame' are over. I would hate to end publishing stupid lists and useless information just to keep it 'alive' while people who comes are looking for the old stuff, if you know what I mean...

And what I start with a series of guest bloggers? What do you think? Those who write in Spanish, I will translate into English and viceversa. It did work for other bloggers (the good ones, like Sarcastic Mom) when they couldn't/wouldn't blog for whatever reason, maybe that will work for me... I'm listening. :-)

  2. Surely every blogger goes through a period where life gets so busy that there's just no time to post. Maybe you should consider decreasing the frequency of your posts until life slows down a bit - that way you can keep your adoring public happy, continue with an activity that you enjoy, and keep the quality of the posts up to where you'd like them to be.

A while back you had asked me if you could "steal" one of my blog posts about mate. Perhaps now is the time?

    Un beso!

  3. You're right, Katie, and I still want to steal that post, so maybe I will soon.

Oh, I have just been informed I will be out of town again next week. Good times...

  4. Hola Gabriel!

    Saludos y buen viaje...otra vez!
