Why is she so cute?

CanadaHere's a couple of funny stories involving Florencia. I bet I am going to get at least a smile off you with them!
Let's see...

A ferry tale
On Friday, we were crossing the river on a ferry (as I mentioned here) when I noticed that Florencia looked sad, or at least disappointed. I asked her what was going on, to what Carolina replied:

- It's that she thought that we were going to cross the river with a fairy, not a ferry...

It was an accent problem, I guess...

Math genius
This one happened yesterday, as we were having breakfast at Tim Hortons in Windsor. The kids were challenging each other with math problems. I whispered something in Florencia's ears and then told the kids to ask her questions as well, while Florencia was sitting on my lap:

Santi: - What is three times three?
Flor: - (pause) Nine...
Juan: - (amazed) How about fifteen minus ten?
Flor: - (pause) Five...
Caro: - What is the square root of nine?
Flor: - (pause) Three...
Santi: - (growing suspicious) What about the square root of eighty one?
Flor: - (longer pause) Nine...

That was it for Juan. He came over to see what was going on, and he found out very soon. I was tapping Florcita's butt gently, and she was counting how many times I was doing it!!! The kids really bought it for a moment... :-)

Argentina

Flor: - (pausa) Nueve...
Juan: - (sorprendido) Qué tal quince menos diez?
Flor: - (pausa) Cinco...
Flor: - (pausa larga) Nueve...
