Photonovel #2 - Cooking with Juan

can_flaggy A few days ago, me and Flor were in charge of dinner and we were very successful, so we decided to go at it again; this time, it was me and Juan who took on the difficult task of cooking a big chili con carne. I guess that the pictures -taken by Santi this time- will speak for themselves. Regrettably.

Lamentablemente.

Chef Juan and his questionable sous chef are ready for the chili!

Juan has selected the ingredients...
Juan ya ha seleccionado los ingredientes...

But the sous chef shows once again that he has no clue!

You will never peel the onions using scissors, Dad...

The beard trimmer is much better!

Onions made me cry...
Las cebollas me hicieron llorar...

Well, that's a powerful mixer!
Esta batidora sí que tiene fuerza!

How can you put the mushrooms in there like that!

This is how you do it!
Así es como se hace!

The sous chef wasn't exactly knowledgeable...
El sous chef no parecía saber mucho...

...and paid for his ineptitude.
...y pagó por su ineptitud.

Watch the ketchup, Juan!!!
Cuidado con el ketchup, Juan!!!

Let's see... is the hot sauce really hot?
Veamos... es la salsa picante realmente picante?

Yes, it is.
Sí, lo es.

In the end, we managed to be able to work efficiently
Al final, logramos poder trabajar eficientemente

And the results were excellent!
Y los resultados fueron excelentes!

  1. Those photos were awesome! (Great work, Santi!)
I loved the 3rd one. I had to laugh, too, because Shawn has actually opened cans like that!

  5. Biddie, thanks. I have also opened cans similarly... with terrible results.

Alleta, no creas!

  8. Tulip, oh, yeah. We're heavily into 'special effects' now (i.e. MS Paint). I stink.

Qué buenos deben haber estado esos raviolones!!!
