Embarrassing moments – #36

Embarrassing moments

CanadaWe went to Tillsonburg, ON, last weekend, as Santi’s team was taking part of the Kick-Off Cup (they lost in shootout on the semifinals). We had two games on Saturday, and there was a huge gap in between the two, so big (about six hours) that some people drove back home to come back in the afternoon.

But we stayed, so me, Santi and a couple of other kids went to the mall downtown. While the kids were looking for food, I dragged my tired, sunburnt self to the washroom. My hip was still bothering me a lot, to the point that every step was a painful task, so when I saw that there was a handicap washroom, I went for it.

I carefully locked the door, and even verified that it was in fact locked, because it was a big washroom and the toilet was some 3 metres away from the door. I imagined, amused, what would happen if someone opened the door and walked in while I was carefully planning my next moves.

Which is, of course, exactly what happened.

I don’t know, the lock must have been bad, the thing is that someone knocked on the door and immediately proceeded to open it, finding me sitting in there, turning to the left to grab some paper. All I could say was:

- Occupied…

Which was pretty obvious for the guy who was closer to me than to the door, right? Embarrassed smile

Embarrassed smile
