Embarrassing moments - #12

Embarrassing moments

CanadaThis one happened last Sunday in London, ON. I was there with Santi and his team for a couple of soccer games. Since we had over five hours in between games, we decided to go and have supper (in our case was both lunch and dinner) at East Side Mario’s, a pasta restaurant.

After having the soup and while waiting for the customary 50 minutes before our meals were served (…), I went to the washroom (restroom, in you’re in US, and bathroom if you’re anywhere else). Um… sat in there and suddenly noticed there was some music playing, and I just happened to love the song: “Love you inside out” by the Bee Gees.

The thing is, I’m a ‘sing-along’ kind of guy, so I couldn’t help it. Soon, I was humming and then singing… in falsetto, like the Bee Gees used to do, and I have to say, I do it quite well. Then I got out of the toilet and found a guy there, washing his hands. I had never heard the door opening!

Dramatic pause… until I realized that it was all lost already. So I just went there, washed my hands too, put my best ‘I do this all the time’ face and got out of there as quickly as I could. I immediately told the kids and the rest of the adults at the table, though, because I will do anything for a cheap laugh.

Argentina
