More notes from Georgia

I had a good day today. Those in which you: a) accomplish little things but that teach you a lot and b) accomplish other things that seem little at first but then you get lots of recognition for. So I'm really happy tonight!

Here are a few notes I took today:

• I told my co-workers about my 'parking luck'. Every time I go to a crowded place with Gaby (mall, supermarket) I find a parking spot right in front of the door, which she hates me for. Of course, I needed to prove my colleagues that I wasn't bluffing, and boy did I! I found a spot that was the closest possible to the hospital, in a huge parking that was virtually full.
• We went to a mall inside of the fort for lunch. The place was new, so it looked impeccable. I was distracted by the prices at some video games store. They had refurbished X-Box systems for $39.99 and GameCube systems for $79.99.
• I'm still thinking about the first bullet. I love it when research pays off!
• I went out for a ride with my car, and ended crossing the bridge, which placed me in Phenix, Alabama. There, I went to a supermarked called "Piggly Wiggly", and bought Diet Coke with Splenda, which I'm drinking now. Earlier today, I drank Diet Pepsi Max, which has extra caffeine. Tomorrow I'm planning to try Diet Coke Plus (which has some extra vitamins)
  
• Phenix is supposed to be in Central Time, so it should have been one hour earlier when I went there, but it's in Eastern Time as an exception.
• I had dinner at Applebees, and was surprised about the number of families with kids I saw tonight. No wonder, kids eat for $0.99 on Wednesdays! If I brought my two boys here, Applebees would go out of business in three weeks. Four tops.

Hoy tuve un muy buen día. Esos en los que uno: a) logra pequeña cosas de las que aprende mucho, y b) logra otras cosas que parecen pequeñas al principio pero que después le dan mucho reconocimiento. Estoy muy contento hoy!

Acá hay algunos apuntes del día de hoy:

• Les conté a mis compañeros de trabajo acerca de mi 'suerte de estacionamiento'. Cada vez que voy a un lugar con mucha gente junto con Gaby (mall, supermercado) invariablemente encuentro lugar para estacionar bien cerca de la puerta, lo que ella odia. Por supuesto, debía probar a mis colegas que no mentía, y cómo lo hice! Encontré un lugar que era el más cercano posible a la puerta, en un parking enorme que estaba prácticamente lleno.
• Fuimos a almorzar a un mall que esta dentro del fuerte. Es nuevo, así que lucía impecable. Me distraje viendo los precios en un local de video juegos. Tenían X-Box usados por $39.99 y GameCube por $79.99.
• Todavía estoy pensando en el primer punto de esta lista. Me encanta cuando la investigación da resultados!
• Fui a dar un paseo en el auto, y terminé cruzando el río, lo que me dejó en Phenix, Alabama. Allí fui a un supermercado llamado "Piggly Wiggly", y compré Diet Coke con Splenda, que estoy tomando ahora. Más temprano, había tomado Diet Pepsi Max, que tiene extra cafeína. Mañana planeo probar Diet Coke Plus (que tiene algunas vitaminas extra).
• Se supone que Phenix está en Central Time, así que debería haber sido una hora más temprano cuando fui allí, pero está en Eastern Time como excepción.
  
• Cené en Applebees, y me sorprendió ver la cantidad de familias con niños que había. Ningún misterio, es que los chicos comen por $0.99 los miércoles! Si llegara a traer a mis dos varones aquí, Applebees va a la bancarrota en tres semanas. Cuatro a lo sumo.
