02/Nov/2013 – Florencia (10)

Florencia had her birthday party a few days ago, and it was a big success (“The best I’ve ever had”). She had about 10 kids coming over, and the party began with some games in the basement, prepared and coordinated by Carolina (with some help from Juan). From there, they came upstairs, where Gaby was waiting with a lot of tiny pizzas, which everybody dressed up to their taste.

After eating, it was time for the cake and the presents and then they all went back downstairs where Juan and Caro were waiting again, this time to kick off the dancing hour.

And they danced. Boy did they! I had to go downstairs and open every window because the temperature in that room had at least doubled. One by one, the guests started to leave, and soon the party was over.

Florencia came back upstairs, exhausted, her face looking like a red pepper. She announced “I better go take a bath right now!” and proceeded to go upstairs.

As she is disappearing up the stairs, she added:

- Gosh, I must have lost 10 pounds today!

02/Nov/2013 – Florencia (10)

Florencia tuvo su fiesta de cumpleaños hace unos días, y fue todo un éxito (“La mejor que haya tenido”). Recibió a unos 10 chicos que había invitado y la fiesta comenzó con juegos en el subsuelo de casa, preparados y coordinados por Carolina (dicen que con ayuda de Juan). Después volvieron arriba, done Gaby los esperaba con un montón de pizzetas, las que cada uno condimentó a su antojo.

Luego de comer fue hora de la torta y los regalos, luego de lo cual todos volvieron abajo, donde Juan y Caro los esperaban nuevamente, esta vez para arrancar la hora de baile.

Y bailaron. Cómo bailaron! Tuve que bajar y abrir todas las ventanas porque la temperatura en esa habitación se había duplicado. Uno a uno, los cansados invitados comenzaron a irse, y pronto la fiesta había terminado.

Florencia subió de nuevo, cansadísima, y con su cara roja como un tomate. Anunció “Mejor que me vaya a bañar ya mismo!” y procedió a subir hacia el baño.

Cuando ya desapareía por la escalera, agrego:

- Mamita, debo haber bajado como 10 libras hoy!
