Silly Monkey Stories #227 - Bananas

22/Jul/2013 – Florencia (9)

We were having dinner late last night, because of soccer and other commitments. In fact, Santi arrived home as we were pretty much done (and it was past 9PM). We couldn’t wait because Florencia’s friend Alejandro was with us and he was leaving soon after.

After dinner, I decided to do something I very rarely do: have dessert. I grabbed a banana, and instead of eating it the usual way, I decided to get me some dulce de leche (also very strange for me) and eat it as it is shown in the picture.

As I am enjoying my dessert, Florencia got up and came to where I was, hugging me in a very affectionate way. Surprised, I let myself go and enjoyed the fact that my little one still wanted to have some cuddling time with Dad… and that’s when the little cobra stroke and stole a piece of ‘banana con dulce de leche’ from my plate.

Of course she left immediately after that! What did you think, that she wanted to spend some time with me? :-)

Anoche cenamos tarde, por culpa del fútbol y otros compromisos. De hecho, Santi llegó a casa tan tarde que ya casi habíamos terminado (y eran más de las 9PM). No pudimos esperarlo porque estaba Alejandro, el amigo de Flor, y se tenía que ir pronto.

Luego de comer, decidí hacer algo que raramente hago: comí postre. Tomé una banana, y en lugar de comerla de la manera acostumbrada, me serví un poco de dulce de leche (también extraño en mí) y la comí como se muestra en la foto.

Ahí estaba, disfrutando mi postre, cuando Florencia se levantó y me vino a abrazar, muy cariñosa. Sorprendido, me dejé estar y disfruté del hecho de que mi chiquita todavía quisiera mimosear con el padre… y ese fue por supuesto el momento en que la pequeña cobra atacó y me robó un flor de pedazo de banana con dulce de leche de mi plato.

Y por supuesto que se fue enseguida! Qué esperaban, que quisiera pasar tiempo conmigo? :-)
