I’m still here…

(En español más abajo)

CanadaI’m not sure if the reason why I’m not posting as often as I used to is the fact that I have been so busy with work, that I’m trying to dedicate every available minute I have to my brothers and my niece (and I’m not very successful at that)… or just because I don’t feel I have anything interesting left to say here.

The thing is that I have –once again– fallen into a creative down. I know I will come up with more material eventually, but right now there’s very little I can think of. Once again, I’m thinking there are signs here telling me that maybe my blog has lived long enough. The stats for the last couple of months seem to confirm that.

Anyway, I can tell you that we’re having a good time with my brothers and the beautiful Sofía. And we have been quite busy, especially this past weekend. We spent all Saturday in the US, as we went to an outlet mall and did a lot of shopping. I am not good for that, first because I’m definitely not a crowds lover and secondly because the amount of walking we do always comes with a toll. I’m still in a lot of pain…

A gorgeous pictureUna foto hermosa

We went back on Saturday night, and headed straight to Toronto, where Santi had a game at 11:00 PM (he tied 0-0). We got home at around 2:00 AM. Sunday wasn’t any better, as we had Carolina’s confirmation in the morning and then we celebrated Juan’s birthday as well. I guess we will need a couple of days to recover from the weekend.

Two highlights: my brother Martín bought a pair of sandals in Buffalo, and only when he got home he discovered that he had to right foot sandals! The other funny story involves my brother Paco: he purchased an espresso cup at Tim Hortons, for him to take home. Once he opened the box, he was disappointed to see that it actually was a Christmas ornament, so it wasn’t exactly an empty cup…

Then we have Sofía… She has made us laugh so hard! But I will tell you about her tomorrow. The one time I have a story! :-)

Martín went to pick up Santi from work on Friday, and made
sure he embarrassed him properly

She keeps calling me ‘uncle Willy’. We will see what she does on
Wednesday when the real Willy arrives!
Me sigue diciendo ‘Tío Willy’.

:-) Abrazo

  6. That feeling of not having anything left to say is why I do Wordless Wednesday and have a goal of at least one post a week. Three weeks running that was my only post and that's fine.

I know that in time I will come around again and be ready to write. Yes it trashes my stats but I find those people that I made a genuine connection with will be waiting ready to read. I hope you give your self permission to take a break rather than go away completely. I, for one, would miss your writing.
